    Tire Choice

Please consider a Cooper Tire as well. They are great tires and made in the USA. I have a set of the new STT Pros, MTPs, and the old STT on my Broncos. That's three sets with no problems and I'm very happy with the ride.

    Tires too big

Power steering was a must for me since my manual box had so much slack in it and it couldn't be adjusted anymore. It was dangerous. When I bought the PS kit and had it installed it was a whole new Bronco almost. I bought the Delphi box so it felt great, a little sporty even.

    Tires too big

Great suggestion! When I bought my Bronco it was in 4 low, the previous owner said he left it in 4 low always since it was used around the farm. I think it was also because the engine was low on compression and he was trying to get all he could out of it. Bdhand, your engine is freshly rebuilt...

    New Motor Source

I'm wanting the same thing for mine. What about a local builder? That's what I'm probably going to do. I just want a rebuild, I'm not stroking it or looking for high HP.

X2. I second this. One other thing I want to highly encourage you to do - Enjoy your Bronco and slowly make changes. What I mean is you can start looking at what everyone else has and decide you want to upgrade everything about it (engine, axles, suspension, etc.) then get yourself into a...

    Tires too big

My previous comment about not needing smaller tires and needing a bigger engine was mostly sarcastic humor and a little bit of truth. The 170 doesn't put out much power but it all depends on what your intended use for the Bronco is. Everybody wants a 302/351 and I think being unique and...

    Tires too big

It says on the tire 35x12.50x15 so you have 15" wheels. Measuring the diameter will not give you the right number and that wheel probably measures close to 17". Most wheels have the size stamped on the inside for future reference. You could see 15x8 or 15x10 on those. I have even seen where the...

You don't need smaller tires, you need a bigger engine!

    Are drop brackets needed

I also have a 3.5" suspension lift with 7 degree bushings and was wondering the same thing. I bought a pair to put on but was told by the Bronco guru I took them to that I should be fine with my set up. How does your Bronco drive? Go straight down the road? I have them on my 78 Bronco and it...

    Beware of this guy

He just posted that he purchased two Broncos today. He says things like "should keep us busy" and "we are working on this". Who is "us" and "we" and where is this "business" located? He posted a number (541)480-1601. Nobody has ever heard of this guy but then he says stuff like "We are with...

Best 2.5" Coils for my application

I have the JBG superflex springs on my Bronco and the ride is super smooth. However, the lift is taller than advertised. My 4.5" lift is more like a 6.5" suspension lift. I noticed the 2.5" coils unsprung length is 23" and I think the other brands are 20-21" unsprung I believe.
