How Do I Remove the Shifter Tube

I'm converting to a 3-speed floor shifter. My steering column is out and disassembled. I want to yank the shifter tube. Is there a trick? Or does it just come out the top? Do the shift levers have to come out first? I searched previous threads and couldn't find and answer to this.

    Which Bolts for Crank Pully

I have a 1974 stock Bronco with original 302. It has been apart for several years and moved at least 4 times since being apart. With that said, nuts and bolts are no longer organized. I'm cleaning up engine pullies and have come to realize I'm unsure which bolts are used for the crank pulley...

James Duff Lower Shock Mount Positions?

Mine is the 3.5" standard kit. The lower tab welds to the "C" cap. I found some pictures on line last night where they were welded on the center raised portion of the cap so I went ahead and did mine the same way.

James Duff Lower Shock Mount Positions?

It's been a couple of years since I did any work on my EB but I'm getting started again. Have moved a few times and lost the installation instructions for the Duff Lift Kit. I email Duff to ask for an email copy but don't feel like waiting. On the front mounts, do they go on the raised...

I think Wild Bill may have a couple extra laying around he would part with.

    Is it a throttle kicker?

Been doing a little more research and I think it is used to adjust the idle with. When I took it off, it was adjusted too far out to be effective for anything and might as well have been on a shelf somewhere. The engine ran pretty good. Thanks for the reply.

    Is it a throttle kicker?

I have a stock 1974 bronco with stock 2 barrel. It has an electronic solenoid instead of a dashpot. No AC on this baby and I'm guessing there never has been. Is it a throttle kicker for something else or an anti-dieseling component? Any other ideas? I have a ford shop manual and it says...

    Windshield Frame

You have to cut the rubber seal around the glass and pull it out. The seal has to be replaced when reinstalling the glass. There is a tool that basically consists of string. Line the inside of the new seal with the string and apply some lube. start the seal on the glass and then pull the...

    Tailgate Question

It's been almost two years since I took mine off but I believe you have to put the hinges in the holes in the gate and then bolt them to the rear posts with the gate down.

    Going with a rake!

I personally like the "bulldog" look (rearward rake) as long as it isn't over done, but that's just me.

    Any ideas?

Sounds like a pump. Are you running electric pump or the one of the front cover? Either way, it sounds like fuel.

    Massive spill

You may never completely get the stain out but Tide powder or Cascade powder worked with a stiff brush will also work wonders on a stained garage floor.

    Serpentine set-up on 1974 Bronco.

I searched the sight on this and found some good info but still have a few questions. I got most of a serpentine set-up off of a 1995 f150 302 for free. I started bolting it up yesterday and everything fits with a couple of exceptions which is where my questions come in. Any help is...

    Installing disc brakes

Sounds like it's worth a try. I cleaned everything up pretty good but I'm going to go back with the wire wheel and clean out all the grooves a little better.

    Installing disc brakes

I started installing the chevy disc brake conversion on my bronco last night. I ran into a problem when I tried to install the 4x4 collar that splines to the inside of the hub. It would not slide in and out properly. I could get it in with persuasion (ie lfh) but it would not slide back out...

Anyone use the "new" version of the JBG replacement quarter panel?

I have both sides for my 74 EB but have not installed then yet, still cleaning up some areas before the quarters go on. I have played around with test fitting them. The originals seem to be a thicker gauge than the replacements and the curve of the panel from top to bottom is not exactly right...
