    4x4 aod

every ford that I have seen with an AOD had the Borg Warner tcase, not the 208. The only ones that I have seen with the 208 had C6s. But I could be wrong.

    Bent frame?

What you need to do is take the suspension out of the equation. Jack up your eb and place the frame on jackstands. you will either need really tall jackstand or take the tires off. If you do this on level ground and with 4 equal height jack stands, then your mesurements should be good. But...

Alternator. What do I got? What do I need???

I just did a 3g upgrade on my EB. It was very easy. Went to the local u-pull yard and got the alt off an early 90s taurus with a 3.8 for 15 bucks. Followed the wiring directions off of BC broncos site. Easy way to get up to 130amps.

I have no luck--Head Gasket Question

Slightly long story here. I use to have an 85 Bronco with a 351. I ran it into the ground and decided it was no longer worth fixing. I have a 71 EB that I wanted to get going ASAP but needed a motor for it. I had rebuilt the 351 in my 85 about 7 years ago, but it only has about 35k on it. The...

    D44 carrier break

Complete offroad sells the thick gears that will allow you to use the 3.73 and below carrier. He has them up to 4.88s. You will have to have your current carrier drilled to accept larger bolts. At the same time that you are re-gearing you should replace all the bearing and seals. Another $80...

77 Grenada for engine and 9" donor?

I now several of the Grenadas did come with 9" rears. A lot of early mustang guys seek them for parts. The front disk will bolt right onto an early mustang and the rear is a bolt in too. If you get it, you may want to try to sell the rear to a Mustang guy rather than try to use it on an EB...

    Detroit Electrac...Anyone running one?

Not to Hijack this post, but has anyone looked into or run the Eaton ELocker. The make them for the 44, cheaper than the Detroit Electrac, and you don't have to replace the front cover. They are fully open when disengaged, unlike the Detroit, but I kindof like that better.

Is there a do it all Donor vehicle out there?

Simple answer is No. You can get the disc brakes off the 70ss but they used a ram type powersteering on the early 70s stuff and the 78/79s will need to be modified to work on the eb. None had 351W in them, that didn't become a truck motor till the 80s lilke wildbill said. As for the 80...

    voltage is low

It may also be your heater motor. As electric motors age, the tend to draw more amps. If the motor is old and worn out then it may be drawing 2 to 3 times more amps than it should.

    C9 351 windsor question

I personally would stay away from any 351 that has already been bored and looks like it is needing another rebuild. Odd that the block is still good would be slim and there are enought 351 out there already. But heck if you can get a mustang guy that wants it, you might get something for it...

    Is this a 3-G alternator?

I just pulled a 3g off a 94 tarus for $10 from the local u-pull-it yard. It was on a 3.6 (not sure on that) Tarus, but some of the 3.0 had them too. I picked up 2, one for a spare.

FULL SIZE BRONCO SWAP -how much trouble?

Your problem will most likely be the transfercase. The t-case on the 80's Ford will be two wide to fit between your framerails on the EB. Most 80's trucks had either a NP208 or a BorgWarner case. You might be able to clock the case down to fit, but then it would hange way below the frame. Both...

Quick Question about Inboard shock hoop install

Did a search, couldn't find anything. How hard is it to install the Cross Inboard shock hoop with the body still on the bronco or can it not be done? Do you have to leave the top part unweilded? I would like to install this, but was not planning on taking the body off my EB for a while. Thanks
