    Neutral Safety Switch

I am no expert, but here is how the neutal switch works on my 85 with a C6. Basically the line from the ignition switch goes to the neutal safty switch and then to the solenoid. The switch is on the shifter shaft the comes out of the tranny and is also the backup light switch. Hope this...

    Straight 6 300CID

The guy that is doing it is Joe, he is on the board, but I don't remember his login, here is his website with some of the info. http://pages.prodigy.net/rjlougee/blue.html I am sure he will speak up when he reads this. The 300 is a great motor, but a tough fit in an EB. Radiator must be...

    Torque??or Something Wrong?

I had that problem on my 85 bronco when a tie rod went out. If you checked the tie rod with the truck on the ground it seemed fine. I finally jacked up the truck and could tell it was bad. To check them jack up the truck and see if there is any play in them or have a friend turn the wheel lock...

    Weapon Stowage

http://secure.fobusholster.net/Merchant2/merchant.mv?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=FH&Product_Code=UVM&Category_Code=New Here is one that Fobus makes. My buddy sells them and isn't a bad design. Also works if you want to mount a handgun under a desk or counter.

how hot should my exhaust be???

On my 85 Bronco with a 351 and single exhaust, It would get hot enough to boil snow at the exhaust tip. It is the only vehicle that I have ever seen do this. I always thought it was due to the restrictive single exhaust. The truck made it to 170 thousand before I rebuilt the motor. whether...

Do I need a new hood? or weld it? buncha ?s

Looks like you have a bit of rust on the truck too (still a cool rig though). If I was in your shoes (I know this isn't the cheapest option) I would save up for a MIG welder. Don't worry about never welding before. Get a book, video or have some give you some pointers. MIG welding is easy once...

    I love my WAH!

Has anyone tried the WAH with extended radius arms yet. I am currious on how well that setup will work.

    How to cancel A/C hose?

There is a line that goes from the water pump to the intake manafold, with the ac compressor in the way, it may look like it is going to the AC unit. I have never seen any AC that uses water from the engine. You may want to take a closer look at wher the hose goes.

    4.6Liter in a Bronco???

My dad has a late modle 5.4 and a 351W sitting in his garage. That 5.4 looks like a big block compared to the 351W. Remeber that it is a 90 degree V8. I think that you may have problems clearing the MC without a body lift. Externaly the 4.6 is almost the size of a 460. They are good motors...

Early Bronco body on a late Bronco frame?

On this I think that I have to dissagree some. Yes a big Bronco frame is tall and made of thicker steel, but every big bronco that I have driven in or owned has more frame flex than the EB's do. Now shortening the frame may help remove some of this flex but a box is much more ridged than a c...

    Chevy engine in a Bronco

someone correct me if I am mistaken here, but aren't the 78 and 79 Broncos a c channel frame. I know my 85 is and the frame flexes more than the suspension does. The EB's have a fully boxed frame that gives very little flex. I don't see any advantage of going to a frame off the fullsize. As...

    diesel weight

According to this, Ford killed the 6cyl Powerstroke. http://dayton.bizjournals.com/dayton/stories/2003/03/17/daily16.html But if you go to Ford Australia site, they list a 6cyl Diesel so who knows.

    Fender Removal Trouble

If you are really careful you can use a cutting torch to remove them. This is what I had to do to remove my fenders. I had the torch turned down as low as possible and melted the heads off the bolds. I managed not to hurt the inner or outer fender doing this but it did burn off the paint.

    ELECTRICAL (DASH) GREMLINS

I think it is a little odd to be making fun of someone from Texas and supporting someone from texas in the same post. For your info, the President is from Texas.

    Extra Parts

Most of the Carb kits that I have used have tons of left over parts. They do that so that one kit will work with many different carbs. I wouldn't worry too much about it as long as the carb seems to be running good.

    dual batteries

The one that WildHorses has seems like a pretty neat system. I was thinking of tying it once I get my rig on the road. http://www.wildhorses4x4.com/10.asp

Snow run and the Bronco experience

What Kind of tires did the EB have on it. In my 85 fullsized Bronco I found that tires made a big diference in snow... Not that we get a lot of snow in New Mexico
