Got my tracking # from Isky yesterday, looked it up while here in Wales and the cam is supposed to arrive next Monday- a week early!

It will be waiting for me when I get home! :)

WooooHooo, made it home after a 21 hr journey incl bus to London, driving home, etc.

PARTS were on my shop bench! YAY! They weren't supposed to be here till Tuesday so I thought I'd have a couple days of finishing prep but... so this morning at 5am I was up and going at it. On the wrong time zone clock obviously! lol

Tim might be able to make it today so I can hopefully have it running by Tuesday instead of just getting parts by then. Not a big job but I with 15" tall grass and 105F deg temps I have some "haying" and watering to do.

Cam specs are very close to what I had. Bit more lift, and 114 to 112 separation. Should be great

From first symptom video to ground down roller lifter that ate my 10 mo old cam to new Isky custom Cam and Morel roller lifters.

Hope to fire it up tomorrow.

So many ups and downs the last 16 months, going to our first organized Bronco event in 24 months. So looking forward to seeing everyone again.

NWBR bound in the am

I need to mount the ramps crosswise behind the headache rack AND I think I want to strap the frt axle straight fwd to the base of the headache rack and strap the rear at the back of the deck. Might be tough to get the straps to go thru the gaps in the ramps IF I have the ramps on their edge-not sure there's a benefit other than the Bronco being fwd appr 4" more inches. Laying them flat like now would allow better mirror visibilty of my trailer tires and allow easier frt axle strap placement

Looks like some short pieces of 2x4 in the side stake pockets then the ramps could be on edge outside of the tie down straps?

Bronco's running, 6.7 PwrStroke died. Loud noise...

Long story... going enjoy being here then worry another eng.ine issue! :(

Here we are hiding in the shade trying to decide what to do 60mi from home. Least we weren't 400 mi from home

I'll try to post the noisy engine video when I get enough signal

Thanks Randy. We made it home w/o incident in our 2002 F450 Winniebago with the V10. :)

OK, truck is a new story. Not a good one either.

So the noise is at about head gasket height. It seems to be coming from the rear pass side. It's echoing enough that I can't tell if it's a rod or what.

Symptoms- besides the loud noise, I pull the oil fill cap and there is a mass amount of air coming out... maybe a valve or pushrod or lifter or ... oil looks fine, no diesel smell, exhaust is fine, oil pressure is fine, runs fine w/o missing.


So Ford 6.7's have had a few rotated lifters that BANG on the cam and make a similar noise.

1st shop ran an injector test and they are all working fine in all conditions. Dang, I was kinda hoping that it was injector related. Hmmm... no compression test was done there.

I'm hauling it home on a buddy's goose neck trailer next Wed. Only thing around besides a $1,000 + ride on a rollback.

So I'm taking it to a local shop and all they do is diesels. They build em from the ground up and suggested the Ford 6.7 rocker/pushrod/lifter issue which I had seen on about 5 fb videos. I would much rather buy a new cam and lifters (I'm getting real proficient at that! :( ) rather than go out and buy a used replacement engine and drop it in before I find out exactly what the cause is. I am sure a low mile 6.7 Ford engine ain't cheeeep.

Sound like a plan?

(I hope you can listen to the video on headphones or a good set of speakers as a cell phone does not in any way convey the true sound of the noise. I also hope you can hear & see it as I can't see any videos on my desktop still. I am going to try a different something (lol) that Jon suggested to see if that makes it so I can see the videos I post)

Hopefully limited to the top end and reasonably repairable cost wise.

6.7’s are terrible about blow by pressure. The pcv filter is restrictive and gets plugged up. No one replaces them, wasn’t even a suggested service in the manual on my last one. Fairly Easy to change and not ridiculously expensive. Should be done every 30k.

That's what I'm hearing on the PCV on these- thanks for the confirmation. I will replace this one when I get it up here at the other shop for diagnostics.

Interesting video on oil drainback issues on a Ford 6.7.

Watch this for stuff you don't want to know! lol 7-8 sec w/o pressure every time you crank your engine when it's been sitting.
