BTW on a technical note, my starter was not bad, nor the soleniod, nor the battery, nor the positive battery cable. The culprit was the negative battery cable%) The cable had corroded under the little clamp plate that hold the cable to the terminal and the terminal was cracked. Changed out the terminal, cut 1'' off the cable to get rid of the corroded wire and hooked it all back up, hit the switch and it turned over like normal. Of course it was after I had pulled the PS header, dropped the starter and had it tested, changed the solenoid again, made a new positive battery cable and retested the battery and then put everything back together again, that I found the problem.
Then it ran out of gas while I was trying to get it off the trailer....
Gunny has been pressure washed but is no where near clean yet. I bet there's 9lbs of sand inside the truck. But the rest of the cleaning will take place tommorow. I'm exhausted and I'm going to bed.
