Thanks all!

So we went to the East Coast Bronco Roundup, Lots of pictures of that in this post, now back and started cleaning up the big mess I had created from all the last minute prepping for the trip. Need some clean space to get back to work on things...

Things like Tasker's tub that had been put on the back burner for a short spell.

So I moved tasker's chassis over into a better position to get that exhaust system fixed up and back together. Was starting with a multi piece Y pipe that needed a little tweaking and would be better off welded into one piece instead of clamps holding it together. So that's what I did.

With that done and cleaned up a bit I worked on fitting up the rest of the exhaust system. Tasker wanted to swap out out the old flowmaster muffler for a new Magnaflow, so on that went and the exhaust is now complete.

Now that the chassis is pretty much buttoned up I suppose I should roll it on back and get to the part that everybody is waiting for, especially tasker...fitting the body! 😁 So here it goes, let's get started mocking it up.

First step is getting it close so I can see what hits or might be close to hitting, and to get an idea of spacing on the body mounts along with figuring out what I'll need to fabricate to make it all work. So far it's actually fitting better than I was expecting, there's a few issues to deal with but overall not too bad.

And to close the night out... a quick little mock up with some fenders and a grill for looks and perspective. surprised I actually had a spare grill that matches the green😄

Wild horses integrated 1" body mount kit might be the answer?

Might be a good place to start, if you're ok with the additional height. Will need to go up a little anyway compared to what it is now in those pictures.

I was thinking you are going to need something with some of the space you can see between the Mount and the tub while it’s resting on the frame.

Yeah, the body mount positions are at completely different heights as compared to a steel tub or even a newer glass tub. The four rear most mounts will need spacers to make up the difference, right now the plan is hopefully to build a couple of cross members to do so and possibly also provide points to tie into the roll bar.

That should add some overall rigidity to the glass tub too. I would love to see a functional tailgate in there, but I understand that tub is probably not up to the challenge.

I have a local friend that does that on all his builds when adding a body lift. Great idea.

Also did a little more workshop cleaning in the ongoing effort to unbury Lil' Rusty(the blue one) so I can get back to work on that as well.
Getting new ideas in my head....
