the outside is exactly the same as the 351 distributor. Inside is the same as the 3.8 block hole and is spaced up 3/4" I would take the cam sensor you will be using and your distributor from your 351 and make sure the person doing your machining knows what you are trying to do.

Cool. Guess I need to get hold of those items.

Leaning more towards a cool 3D printer project and a way to save a handful of fellas some cash from getting robbed at the machinist.

Thx.

ive got a 351 that i believe needs a little bit of help. I have thought many times about doing an efi conversion. What is the reasoning for using the explorer efi parts from a smaller engine and having to do a bunch of modifications to make them work? Wouldnt it be easier to just get an efi 351? I know nothing about all this so im just asking.

I got my harness back today from efi guy, it looks great. It has all the wires clearly labled and the harness is very nicely wrapped. I highly recomended his work. I cant wait to get it all hooked up.

The other day i worked on my valve covers, I eliminated the pcv valve hole because the explorer motor and lightning intake did not have one on the valve covers. The lingtning intake has a spot for a pcv in the back just like the explorer so i will be using that.

I also cut , shortened and welded on the filler neck to the passengers side valve cover. I wanted this to retain the vent for the intake tube just as it was on the explorer. I also removed the baffle on the inside of the explorer valve cover and welded it into the 351 valve cover.

I also put in my cam sensor. Efi guy marked out the position the sensor needed to be in.

Here are a couple pics.

I noticed the other night that my intakes dont match up with one having egr and the upper doesnt. Not sure how to fix this, Im thinking possibly pick up an earlier upper then make a block off plate?? Here are a couple pics.

I decided to clean up some scrap tonight so i cut up the explorer tank and saved the top ring and the bottom baffles. I still havent decided if I want to build my own tank and use the explorer pump or use my current low pressure electric pump to feed an acumulator and a high pressure pump. At any rate I cut out and saved what i will need if I decide to build. Here are a couple pics.

I can't seem to find the freeze plug or the pic of what I had to start with but I'm sure that I took out a brass plug my upper has the egr so I'm going to run it.i will look through all my pics and see if I can find it but I would think that a freeze plug would work rather than trying to tap it.
