I purchased my current Bronco for a project my son and I could work on together. I have always been a ford truck man (my first pickup was a 64, which was pretty new in 72) and wanted to pass my mechanical experiences on to my son.

I sold my rock crawler Jeep, to build a daily driver EB.

The jeep used to be a DD. It slowly grew into a trail rig. It got to the point where it was a trailer queen. I used it about 4 times a year. I just decided it was time to back up and start over.

I had an '88 Eddie Bauer FSB in High School that my Dad handed down to me when I was sixteen. I loved that thing. Man, if that Bronco could talk...well you know the rest...

I went off to college with a 2dr 4x4 Explorer because mom wanted her son driving something with air bags. :( The FSB stayed in the family for a while as a hunting vehicle, but was eventually sold to a local friend.

Some friends in college had early 70's Toyota Landcrusiers and that is when I knew someday I wanted a extra vehicle that I could have some fun with... My friends were always complaining about the lack of local availability of parts for the TLC's (always having something shipped from Cali).

I still like the TLC's, but when I really started getting serious about searching for a toy I took all that to knowledge I absorbed from my wheeling buddies to heart and came back to my roots. I looked for a Bronco for about a year and a half and finally found one just in time for my 30th birthday present to myself.

Bronco, The gift that keeps on taking... ;D ;D

I've always been into off-roading, and always loved the Bronco since I was a kid. I remember the first time I knew it was for me - camping with the folks in the desert around '67 when one of the group of families who we always went out with, who showed up after the rest of the group was already there for a day, came in their Bronco over the hill behind camp instead of the road. I'll never forget I thought that was so cool.:D
I ended up falling into deals on 4x4's I couldn't pass up. I had a '72 K-5 Blaz3r, a couple of heeps and then landed my '67 finally in '98.
I use it 99% off-road, but like driving it to work when the weather is nice.
