Explorer 5.0 Serpentine Accessory Drive Belt ConversionAs an alternative to extending the fan shroud, I had these suckers made. I've done this swap in an F-100 too so I have both 2" and 3". Fan Clutch...
The following is not so much a full tech article as just a step-by-step photo exhibit of how the Chevy conversion is done. There are several write-ups on this popular swap on the web. Below are 2 that I found useful, but there are others in the WebMap too.

They're bulbous, ugly, protruding pieces. They look out of place, like they don't fit, as if they were some designer's afterthought. They're often cracked, broken, or missing. Their gaskets are usually cracked, petrified, shrunken shadows of their original...

Installing of a Fasttrac soft top on my 1970 Bronco was quick and looked and fit real nice .The guys at STC showed how easy it is to install. The install took about 3.5 hours. They said that some times it my take longer if the windshield needs adjustment and the door...

Many of us who have done a frame off restoration have discovered after removing our body mounts and the tub that the surface on the frame where the body mount sits is rotted away. The metal has gotten scaly and chipped away or the whole surface is gone. There is an...

There are a couple of ways to get these old body bushings out of the frame. Remember you may have to use a combination of methods that I will be writing about to remove the original bushings.
If you can, soak the bushings and the bolt as best you can with...

I’ve never liked the stock antenna on our beloved Classic Broncos. They are prone to breakage from trees while wheeling and expensive to replace if you can find one.
When I had new fenders put on my Bronco I opted not to have a new antenna hole cut in the...

Has anyone ever seen this? RUST! The only thing holding my front clip on was the fender bolts and the body supports.
First off start by spraying some penetrating oil on the bolts holding the front grill and fenders on, preferably a couple of days...

To re-attach the main door glass to the channel which lifts the glass you will need a piece of rubber hose cut to the length of the channel (I used 3/8” fuel line), a pair of scissors, an extra pair of hands and some liquid soap. Take the channel and remove the...

I know that some of us out there are still stuck with the old stock vacuum wipers that for some odd reason ford put in Broncos from 1966 to1968 but if your like me and have better ideas on ways to spend my hard earned cash. I like most of the rest of...

Dimension (A) should be .187" to .200" (I made this cut on a table saw with a carbide tipped blade. Use WD-40 or some type of wax to lube the blade and go slow to avoid kickbacks. You can also purchase a metal cutting blade.) To find dimension (B) place your...

Here is a simple way to install locking wing window latches on your early Bronco. I got tired of hearing the wind whistle through the gap in the seals because the latches weren't tight enough.
Wandering around the local wrecking yard I came across a mid...

Well let me start off by saying that this was a process. I don't have a lot of money like most people so dropping $600 or more for a bed liner was just not happening. So I did an internet search for spray on liners and this is what I foun; Line-X...
Tech article by Jeff Farris (raleigh_bronco )
Background:
I chose to brush-on the bed liner because I have zero experience with a paint gun and because the price for having a professional sprayed-on liner versus the do-it-yourself Herculiner did not justify the cost to benefit factor. I...

This rotisserie will fit a early Bronco body (66-77, no frame), with the front clip (inner fenders, etc.) removed. It will allow for easier access to the underside of the tub for blasting, patching and painting. With the addition of casters, it...

The following article describes the C6/203/205 doubler assembly I installed in my 69 Bronco along with my reasons for choosing this setup over the other options available. The main reason I'm writing it up is that I've answered the same questions many...

I've run a Holley 4 barrel on my Bronco for close to 30 years. Before I did some of these mods I rarely had any problems offroad that couldn't be fixed with a float level adjustment. Keep in mind I'm not into the extreme stuff, but I have had my Bronco in...

Several years ago, I installed a 2 ½” suspension lift on my mostly stock '70 Bronco. The lift turned out very well, and I was very pleased with myself. It completely changed the way my Bronco looked, and I was proud to drive it down the street. So proud, in fact, that...
