Anybody know of a good master cylinder for a hydroboosted disc/disc set up that has a plastic reservoir? I'm tired of the metal top cast iron ones leaking... :(

I've done 1 or 2... ;) after disassembly, I scrape all the thick gunk off and then send them to the parts washer tank for a soak and scrub. Let them dry and then blast them. follow up with engine enamel (cast iron, cast aluminum or semi gloss black depending on what it is). They turn out pretty...

I'd do a similar compression check on the Explorer motor for comparison. I'd bet the fuel injected motor is in better shape and would be tempted to use that...

I have shock hoops front and rear. I think I could have up to 3 per wheel up front and 2 in back but only run 1 at each corner. Quality over qty is a good strategy imo. Did the hoops for a longer that stock shock...

I really like my fuel injected 351/4R70W/NP205 combo...

yes, yes I have... But only twice. :p 1st time, front drive shaft was broke so I was in 2 wheel drive going up a sandy grade. Rear started getting loose (locker). rather than get out of the gas and lose momentum, I steered to correct. That caused the rear to swing hard in the other direction...

Nice to have all the info in one place for reference, good job :) Don't forget to grab all the attaching bolts for brackets, water pump and timing cover when at the wrecking yard... some are metric and some sae...

Lots of guys here have gotten with EFIGuy for their fuel injection needs, myself included. Installation is pretty straight forward and my 351 has run great right from the beginning. Message Garry with your questions. He is a wealth of knowledge and very pleasant to talk to.

Any idea how the Trick Flow stacks up vs Lightning? I'm wondering what the airflow numbers are...

I hear you. Can't tell you how many I snapped while pulling covers from Explorers. Not sure why its always those two... Try using heat and penetrating oil to try and avoid breaking a 2nd one... good luck.
