    where to get axles

    The yukon stub shafts are on back order for a while. Yukon recently purchased warns line of axle shafts, so they may be hard to come by also.

    I'm PARTING OUT a 1974 bronco D44 its has: 4.27 yukon gears detroit locker yukon 4340 axle shafts with spicer 5-760x u-joints and full circle retaining clips new 1310 pinion yoke 79 3/4ton d44 flat top knuckles custom made 4340 1/2ton spindles 79 1/2 ton hubs and rotors 79 thunderbird brake...

    2003 Dana 60

    If you have a 10.25 rear then the bolt patterns won't match up. The 10.25 had a 8 on 6.5'' lug pattern. You would need a 1999 and up 10.50 to match the front 03 D60 lug pattern of 8 on 170mm. The 10.50 also had disk brakes.

    D44 HP questions

    The first thing to find out is if it has cast on or weld on c-wdges. Do you have a d44 in your bronco? if so your knuckles will bolt to this axle. The high pinion carrier is the same but the gears are not. I would retube the long side then u only need one custom shaft or if u build it right...

    I cut 3/4'' out of the radius that sits on the tube. Why did I do this? because somebody else bought em and they had sat in the shop for a while, so i put em to use.

    If you want to get rid of the disk wiggle use Dorman wheel studs part # 132 u will have to drill out your axle shaft to 5/8 to install these studs but they will get rid of the disk sloppyness. I used 14bolt brackets from ballistic fabrication and ford D44 rotors
