Sounds from Shimmy's description like they were home made. Because he could not get them pre-made from anyone.
Perhaps even from "stock on hand" in the garage.

How far back is your quote from? I just went back three pages and did not see it?

If you're talking about the heim joint and brace, i got them from Ebay. tons of options on there and very affordable. I think i paid $30 for the braces and $20 for the roll cage brackets.

yeah that's real affordable

Spent the day going over my ride with a fine tooth comb (as I always do) before going to the RdUp in Oregon. Been going to SOB's, Unevents and RdUps since the SOB back in '97 (or so). Greased the D60, checked all the heims, greased the 1350 DS's, just checking everything carefully

Maybe I'll have time to wash it before we go!! lol

Only pic this summer of mine. Took my buddy down to pic up his new one

It's been a fun and hot weekend here in Arkansas...
New PSP, new 23 gal tank, and fab'd up the spare tire carrier!

Installed a powered remote speaker for my radio. With just a bikini top and no doors it was hard to hear 2-way communication on the trail and especially on highway at speed. It's plenty loud and should have no problem overcoming road/wind noise!

Also mounted a forward looking camera. I picked up used rear-view camera from a friend and decided to mount it in front of the Bronco. I'm waiting on a power cord for the camera to get it totally hooked up. It's wireless. Image is reversible so it should work well in the front.

I got the radiator re-cored, waiting on some new rubber radiator insulators, and shroud. Was worried my local radiator guy would close up shop, I new mine had to be done, before I can get her back on the road. Been sitting since 1993.
Turns out 1 tank had a crack and there was 2" of mud in the bottom.

Yeah, they're dropping like flies all over the country.

That two inches of mud is a very common find. Glad you got yours cleaned out.
Should be great now!

Transfer case leak -
On the floor, I always had a dime, recently quarter to 1/2 dollar, yesterday - pancake!

Picked up a new seal at Napa and got to it. Not too bad, but certainly messy.
Some hodad had installed a 5/16" height seal in there instead of the proper 1/2" height. The leaky one had been tapped in to max depth so the lip was riding near the rear of the yoke. Proper one has the lip near the middle. All sealed for now.
