Replaced the battery. I could have sworn I had just bought the Bronco a battery but alas, the journal does not lie. This was a Diehard that almost made it three years. Almost.
It turns over with alacrity again.
Wow, less than 3 years? I got my AGM in June 2018. It's still going strong!

If it sits more than a week it needs a tender. Also make sure your charging voltage does not exceed 14 volts. Those will make them last much longer. Last one I replaced was 12 years old. Probably would still be with us had I not left the ignition on for 3 months🤦‍♂️

Today - Pulled the pan and rear main cap to replace 2-piece rear main seal… well damn it! LOL

Still learning what exactly the PO did to it. Obviously the 302 is post 83.

I'm sure it doesn't help I have a persistent battery drain that will kill a battery in 3 days if I don't drive it. I need to get that sorted.

Just replaced my Interstate after 11 years. Not sure I'd be too happy only getting three years out of a battery. Not for what they cost now a days!
Replaced the factory battery in my 2013 F-150 this week. It wasn’t QUITE dead but when you turned it off, it popped up the message “turn off all electrical components to save battery life” or something like that. Never failed to crank but I figured 11 years was enough

Hooked up my reverse lights to the AX15. Now every time I go for a drive I find something else that needs fixing. Now it’s popping out of 2W high (rear stick) under load. Lovely thing to happen on the freeway.

when mine starting doing that it turned out to be a worn shift fork in the transfer case. not a fun fix.

Just got off the phone with Jack O’Brien and got a mini history of the dana 20, spicer, cold duck Stroppe along with the development of rock eater gears. A bit over my head. He’s sending me a set of heavy duty detent shifter springs to try.

I spent some time smoothing out seal seats, bearing seats, and mating surfaces on my Dana 44. I think someone used a punch and 10 pound hammer to work on this thing. Looks like they tried to stake the axle seals. 🤣 It also didn’t have outer pinion bearing shims. I guess that’s possible. Does ARB make a cover that says Keep Out? 🤣

Took it out to King of Hammers to watch the race this past weekend. New 351w did very well. Very pleased with the added power.
