    You might try to put a thin washer behind the starter bolts between the starter and and where it mounts. It may be kicking in to far... Worth a try

    You can use about a 5 foot piece of 2 inch pipe to wham the new collar on. Slide it over the axle with the hub bolts down and wham the pipe up and down. I have replaced them a lot this way. You can also cut the collar off with a cutting torch being careful not to cut into the axle. If the...

    i've tried everything; fuel pump overheats and vaporlocks

    Why don't you try this. Get a gallon container and run a rubber fuel line from the container to the pump. Mount or tie the container higher than the pump. Let it run and you should be able to tell before you run out of gas what is wrong. You may have to suck on the hose from the pump to prime it...

    The machine shop told me that on my 77 302 to tighten them all to 25 lbs. No adjustment on the 77 model. I did that and no more adjusting. I don't know whether you can do that on the other models...

    Tire size question?

    Mr 77 Bronco has a one inch lift and has fender flares. My question is will my Bronco take 32x11.5x15 tires without putting spacers on where the wheel goes or will the tires rub? Thanks very much

    hot fuel pump update: figured it out

    What the fuel pump was doing was pulling a vacuum. You fixed it by adding the filter so that it can breathe. Good going. I would not expect any more trouble out of it...

    Try another fuel pump. I got mine at auto zone for about 28 dollars. I mounted it on the fender well. I had to prime it by putting a piece of hose on the outlet side of the pump and below the tank and sucked on it. When you get the fuel running out of the pump, you can hook it back up and it...

    Be sure that you have a good ground. Better the ground wire is grounded to the negative side of the battery...

    The only way that you can know for sure is to count the splines by pulling an axle. I thought mine were a 31 until I counted them....
