Thanks all. that was a safety line & I kept it tight.
Not a lay down on your side spot there. Steve knows that draw off to the DS is probably good for at least several rolls.
Great trip. Try to do it 2X/year - except last year.
I got a winch on that Bronco in April of 1978. Before I had real lockers... to me a winch is to be used (even if just for safety) so I don't spend all summer rebuilding it.
IF I was closer I'd have a tubed Bronco buggy for doing the most extreme stuff I could. I drive this every day and just don't want it looking like a beat up piece of ... lol It's hard to express how much fun I have driving the "same" rig since '76 even tho all thats left is the "Sport" emblem and the windshield with it's frame.
That's part of the reason when I extended the wheelbase I finally closed up the front half of the qtr panels so the rear tire would be centered so it would look "stock" - well- kinda
It's 100% different but it's still easily recognizable as a Bronco.
SSRay- the black turbo diesel in the pic is a friend. He lives in Oregon. Jon and his wife Rhonda own JBCustomFab. You probably know him as the shifter guy!
That rig we call "The Beast". He's literally towed with the hydralic hoist on the rear a guy out of KOH that would have been there till parts were flown in. It's awesome. But their other rig...WOW. Twin turbo'd 427, beautiful build... show stopper. Jon and Rhonda are both almost OCD for quality and you see that in their shifter products and other work they release. Anyway, their beauty will win awards at every event for a decade--- yes, it's that well built.
I'll get a couple more pics ...
