I Need help with a 74 Bronco Scout

To start, you might want to give the engine electrical a good look over. Check all the plug's and wires, fuel lines and so on. You should have at least got a rumble using starting fluid. Seems to me you are not getting any spark. Have you pulled any of the plugs out to see their condition? :)

    BRONCO!!! Obsession or Passion

My better half is pretty much accepting of my other better half (my '77). When I went to get my first bronco she said "are you sure?" and of course I said Hell Yea.. It was a pretty easy sell job actually. I just told her that I had wanted one of these for a long time and was willing to give...

Drag link ball joint not replaceable ?......PROBLEM SOLVED!!

Not that I am pimping products for anyone but I researched these folks before making a decision as to what I wanted to do. Most of the advise I found right here on this forum. http://stonecrusher.classicbroncos.com/ or http://bulletproofsteering.com/main.html Also you can check out the tech...

Drag link ball joint not replaceable ?......PROBLEM SOLVED!!

If you are going to go through all the trouble of replacing ball joints, why not go with Heim (sp?) joints and new drag link and tie rod? I went through this myself upon tear down of my bronco and after much research and mulling all options, I decided to go with Heim and new rods. For me the...

    Survey..................How'd you get your EB?

Got mine a couple of years ago. I have wanted a Bronco for the past 10 or 12 years and I finally had the means to begin a project such as this. Bought my '77 and had her towed home. Wife said "are you sure you know what you are getting into?". I told her hell yea! Little did I know I was...

    Is it just me............?

Wow - I can totally understand what you are saying. I have been working on my '77 for 2 years now and there were times that I was asking folks if they wanted to buy it. I'm spending money on this thing when it could go toward retirement. Am I being selfish.. No...... Then suddenly I...

Project Sixtysick UPDATE 2/18/06, bought a 72 to transfer my goods... gave up on 66

The retaining clip has two holes, one on each end. I use a set of reverse pliers that have thin ends. Sort of like needle-nose pliers but smaller, more narrow ends. These place into the each of the holes. Now, I call these reverse pliers (I'm sure they are technically called something else...

What Should I Do To The Frame Before I POR It?

I was just remembering that I forgot to weld on my rear shock mounts on the frame and axle before coating. It was not big deal, I just had to sand down and re-coat. But if your making a list...

    hydroboost

Wow - those are some pretty good arguments on not using it. I do take my stopping ability seriously and I would for sure test any solution before putting it on the road. The one I pulled seemed to be in pretty good shape. But I really don't have a clearance issue now anyway. Sounds like I...

    rear spring shackles

Tough one - I remember having trouble with mine as well. The only thing I could get to work on the springs was a ball joint press that I picked up a while back. Basically its a big C clamp with adapters to fit for ball joints. I have used this thing for lots of stuff (bearing, ball joints...

    Spray Painting

Off the top of my head, I would say check the following things: 1) Paint is well mixed and not too thick. 2) Check that the lid on your canister is well sealed (Is it Gravity Feed HVLP?) 3) Check that paint pathways within the gun are clean and clear of debris (dried paint or dirt) 4) Make...

    Possible seat belt repair...

Oreilly Auto parts or Auto Zone. Sometimes they have replacement parts under the "Help" brand. Otherwise, part yard may be your best bet. 8-)

    Texas Body Shop??

Yep - I know its pretty pathetic. But I had to fight the wife and sell my boat to get my '77. If some body shop tore it up or something happened, i'd go postal.
