There is SOOOooo much crap hanging down and in the way. Almost all the hoses will need to be shortened or lengthened by an inch or two, rerouted... guess this is why I wasn't as excited to rip it all apart this time.

Good news is w/o inner fenders the 30# of core support slid out where fenders would normally be. The big funky lower radiator bracket mounts were used successfully with my Granada radiator for 11 + yrs. Ugly, functional and heavy. Allowed room for my 2nd cooler underneath the radiator which worked great.

Thanks Hinmaton. You are down 82 from me...

I got dirty today... all the sheet metal is out that I think needs to come out.

Always puzzled me how metal can seem to rust in layers like that...I’ve never found a reason why.

Be nice if your assist cylinder could be on the driver side closer to the box, but I don’t know how you’d keep hoses away from other parts when the suspension cycles. :(

Spent an hour with the broom this am.

These pics make all the brake lines, ARB hose, ram hoses look like a jumbled up mess. They were and need to be so tightly secured because there is no room at all for them to even rotate from their original attachment points or they will get pinched. I had several hose clamps encased in rubber and probably 20+ zip's holding it all in place. Moving my drag link forward will help some but you don't want any lines on the front side where they can get "tapped".

Starting tilt column work today.

I keep trying to figure this out, but I need more hints it seems.

While waiting for some parts I thought I'd check to see if my tilt column, quick release hub and adapter would all fit.

Then see what fun I'd have figuring out the Chevy hot rod generic harness with my new column. I'd repinned the '74 Bronco column to work with the "ItsaSnap" harness 15 yrs ago.

Got into it some and through my ever present brain fog ;) rralized that my new Ididit column is a Chevy clone. My harness being a generic Chev harness for street rods has ALL the matching colors of the color code on the new column.

69-96 all the same. Ford never seemed to get their wiring correct and changed it every couple of years... :(

A big concern before ordering the new column, hub adapter, and quick release was actual wheel placement.

I was told by every place I contacted that the wheel would move appr 2 1/2" closer to my chest with the quick release. Not wanting the strg wheel in my cbest I looked into shorter columns to bring the distance back to "normal" for my Bronco.

Anyway, check the nvrstuk method for checking strg wheel "fit". :)

Before removing my stock column I measured the distance btw dash and strg wheel and seat and stg wheel - all marked with blue tape.

Gave me a close measurement to go off of.

That’s a good to know....when you’re tall you don’t need the wheel close as well. Not comfortable with the arms all doubled up.

I like the idea of the quick release...what did you get?

Call me Jaromy... I didn't forget :). Just got it installed with one bolt, tape measure in hand and was going to text you what I found out. You will like it. You already have the TBP wheel and adapter correct?

I'm going to pick up a new sled tomorrow and deal with some issues over on the "wet side".
Call or text late afternoon or evening and I can give you the details w/o typing a book. :)

Got the double D shaft and ujoints all fitted, sized and temporarily installed along with soldering all the strg column wiring into place.

Spent 3 hours trying to move 2 gauges 3/8" each to no avail. Will post pics when I get home tomorrow night.

3/4" closer is all. I could easily move the column mount on the tube to compensate for that... not sure what I want to do. If I move it farther away then in theory the seat could go forward the same amount (till your knees are bent straight up right?? lol).

Probably not worth moving it for 3/4".

Scott- I called and called and emailed for 2 weeks. NRG doesn't talk on the phone except to distributors. I was emailing each day, would get a response the next day, then I'd send a new question the next day, then get a response...you get it. 3 questions took a dang WEEK. I begged the guy to call me. He did, on his personal cell at lunch!! :) I thanked him profusely. lol

Phone call took almost a 1 1/2minutes and we both had a good laugh.

NRG is a good product. You can spend as much as you want with them... $$$ doesn't seem to be a problem for their clientele!!

Looked at post #631 and my interior looks like temporary housing or something! Everything in there is temporary. No screws in the shifter boot, speaker isn't covered, console is half taken apart, 6r Controller is zip tied to my make-shift temporary 45deg angle shifter mount. I don't like that much angle so I'll go back to it mounted more horizontal.

Trying to work figure out what I want in the interior and I just make it WORSE! :) ... projects for another day.

I have a tilt column out of a Lincoln in mine. The top of the wheel is quite close to the glass when tipped up, which is my preferred position, and I have to watch that I don't jamb a finger in the glass. Yours looks like it will be placed further back to avoid that.

Interested to see how you like the removable hub.

Many thanks Brian!!! I’d looked for these at one time and didn’t have much luck...must have used bad search terminology. Had to laugh...saw an Amazon listing with someone asking a question who ended up saying “I guess I better call them”. It bugs me too...everybody has to text/email for everything....a 1 min phone call can do what takes 5 min of texting. :(

Yes, looks like good stuff...but yea, almost $300 without a steering wheel. And then another $170 to get the anti-theft spinner hub thingy...ouch!

I still can’t decide if I want the Prisma “Savage” or “Mexicali” seats they sell. Lol. Also got a kick out of the installation instructions that look like a cartoon and have elbow grease in there.
